The Thrill of the Hunt
Customers who frequent our Asheville shop know the excitement of finding something unique. Each day, new items are entered into our computer system and put out on the showroom floor. If you don't find something you like, you might find it the next day. We sell new clothing and accessories from our carefully selected vendors. But the majority of what we sell are upscale items provided by our consignors.
For the most part, retail stores don't change what they have to sell from day to day. Usually, they change their inventory seasonally. Returning shoppers at our store know that our inventory changes constantly. Every day, new items are added. The cycling of inventory increases your chances of finding something great. So this is where the term “thrill of the hunt” comes in. When you find your style, color, and size at a great price you are thrilled! Scanning and looking for something that sparks your interest is exciting.
Sure, shopping at stores that carry a lot of consigned items can be hit or miss. We select only what we think will sell from our consignors. That way they will have a better chance of selling something and the shopper will get more hits rather than misses.
Over this past year, we have noticed a lot more new customers coming to shop. A lot of them are visiting from out of town. Just by the larger numbers of new shoppers, it is evident that more and more people know how fun it can be to shop at and upscale consignment store. It makes us feel that we are doing something right then people on vacation make it a point to shop at here.
Some loyal customers might think that shopping gems like The Encahnted Forrest should be kept a secret. You wouldn't want everyone coming in and buying up all of the good stuff right? We honestly have such a large inventory for a small store that we hit a limit on the items we can accept from consignors. Good stuff that consignors bring in can't all be accepted at times, because we are so stocked up! Over the past year we have opened up our online stores on Ebay and Poshmark as well as a new booth at Sugar Britches (River Arts District). But to keep it fresh, with new items daily, you want that constant flow on new items coming in.
So if you have a free hour or two, drop in to see what we have at any given time. You just might find the best deal of the year when it comes to women's clothing and accessories.
