Flax, Blue Fish, and Local Designers

We hope you have had a good summer so far. Lots of local artists' creations and other fun consignment items have been added to our showroom floor. If you love linen clothing, we have a lot for Flax out on the floor right now as well. We also have a great selection of vintage sewing machines that are fully serviced and ready to sew. It has been a busy summer with a lot of inventory coming in and going out daily. Everyday there is something new at our shop.

Check out these beautiful tea towels made by local artist Betty Ann Winters. The texture and color of these creations are fantastic. According to her website, her art is inspired by the natural world. A lot of inspirations comes from the beaches of the Caribbean. These are truly gorgeous towels!

If you like to wear baseball hats and want something fun and funky, check out these customized hats by screen printer Autumn Rose. Autumn takes stock baseball hats and incorporates customized graphics to them. These are very creative and eye catching. It is worth mentioning that the material for these hats is very good. One thing I like about the construction is that the front of the hat is tall. Kind of a “trucker hat” style.

We are happy to have a nice variety of locally made candles by Eve Whittington of BeeBearPro. These are cool candles! What makes these candles so unique is that as the candle burns, the heat from the flame melts the wax inward to pool in the center of the candle. So the design on the outside lasts! This lets you see the design as the candle glows. Once you get to the bottom of the candle, you can use a tea light candle to put inside. Very cool!
